Neubio AG was set up in 2017 in Switzerland and is known for providing “Out of the Box” thinking in the way Cochlear Implants are perceived worldwide, be it being safer implant, analog signals or unconventional designs of the external units.

With the prevalence of severe to profound hearing loss being 4 in every 1000 children born in India, essentially meaning over 100,000 babies are born with hearing insufficiency each year, only a miniscule number of cochlear implant surgeries are performed because of multiple factors¹.

These factors may vary from cochlear implants being restricted to few cities, awareness among masses, absence of screening at birth, scarcity of funding resources/insurance even after strong government and NGOs efforts, limited audiology clinics across Tier 2/Tier 3 cities, cost of implants and many more.

Switz Neubio India was set up in India through Technology Transfer from Neubio AG with the idea to provide Cochlear Implants with focus on outcomes from the implantation.

Switz Neubio India is committed to train more surgeons, Audiologists and Speech Therapists to work towards supporting Cochlear Implantation.
